What is Virtual Coaching

Virtual recovery coaching gives you real support without the barriers that keep many men stuck. Whether you’re battling sex addiction/porn, compulsive behaviors, or substance abuse (drugs and alcohol), virtual coaching helps you build a clear plan, strengthen accountability, and start living with integrity—one step at a time. Sessions are private, structured, and focused on action you can implement immediately.

At Wingman Recovery Coaching, I coach from a biblical foundation with respect and care for people from every background. You’ll hear me speak openly about faith and hope in Christ, and you’ll never be pressured or talked down to.

Why Virtual Coaching Works

1) Convenience and consistency

Virtual sessions remove the biggest obstacles to recovery: distance, scheduling, and “I couldn’t make it.” You can meet from home, your office, or wherever you have privacy—so it becomes easier to stay consistent and build momentum.

2) Time savings

No commute. No driving across town. No waiting rooms. Virtual coaching allows you to protect your calendar and spend your time on what matters—doing the work, not traveling to do the work.

3) Financial advantage

Virtual coaching typically costs less than in-person sessions because you’re not paying for office overhead, travel time, or the added expense of getting there. It also saves you money indirectly—fuel, childcare, missed work time, and other costs that often pile up when you’re trying to get help.

4) More privacy, less stress

Many men delay getting help because they fear being seen, recognized, or judged. Virtual coaching gives you a private and discreet way to start recovery with fewer barriers and less anxiety.

5) Real-life recovery support

Your triggers don’t happen in an office—they happen in real life: at home, at night, after conflict, when you’re stressed, lonely, tired, or tempted. Virtual coaching allows us to build a plan that fits your real environment and routines so your recovery is practical and sustainable.

What We Work On (Common Focus Areas)

Virtual coaching is structured and practical. Depending on your situation, we may work on:

  • Understanding your cycle: trigger → ritual → acting out → shame → repeat

  • Identifying triggers (stress, loneliness, anger, boredom, fatigue, shame)

  • Building a relapse-prevention plan that is realistic and measurable

  • Establishing boundaries (devices, environments, relationships, routines)

  • Setting up accountability that actually works (check-ins, transparency, support team)

  • Rebuilding integrity and trust through consistent truth and follow-through

  • Strengthening emotional skills so you don’t medicate feelings with escape

  • Creating a stable rhythm: sleep, nutrition, exercise, spiritual practices, community

How Virtual Sessions Work

Step 1: Free 15-minute call

We’ll talk briefly about what’s going on and what you want to change. If I’m a good fit, we’ll map out the next step.

Step 2: Build your recovery plan

We clarify your goals, identify your triggers and patterns, and build a plan that fits your real schedule and your real life.

Step 3: Weekly action + accountability

You’ll receive clear assignments and tools each week, plus accountability to help you follow through. Recovery is not about trying harder—it’s about building new patterns and staying consistent

Who This Is For

Virtual recovery coaching may be a fit for you if:

  • You’re tired of repeating the same cycle and you’re ready for real change

  • You want structure, practical tools, and accountability

  • You need privacy and flexibility due to work, travel, or family responsibilities

  • You’re willing to be honest and take weekly action steps

  • You want a coach who is direct, supportive, and grounded in biblical hope

FAQ

1) Is virtual coaching effective?
Yes. For many men, virtual coaching is more consistent than in-person because it removes travel and scheduling barriers. Consistency and accountability are key drivers of change.

2) What do I need for a virtual session?
A phone or computer, a stable internet connection, and a private place to talk. That’s it.

3) Is coaching the same as counseling or therapy?
No. Coaching is not therapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health disorders. Coaching is forward-focused, action-oriented, and accountability-driven. If therapy or medical support is needed, I’ll encourage you to pursue it alongside coaching.

4) Is this confidential?
Yes. Coaching is confidential. We’ll also discuss healthy boundaries around privacy and accountability so you can pursue recovery with integrity.
